Default Airbag Disco

As in "disco-nnect"...

OK, reading some of the threads about the relative pros and cons on the ARB bumper made me wonder to myself... "what about just putting in an airbag disconnect switch??"

So, yeah, that's probably illegal, and we know that it's both BAD and WRONG to ever do anything illegal, but humor me -- how hard would it be??

I used to routinely do this on cars that I took to various car club, ah, "driver's education" events on race tracks. You know, it's not *racing*, but you're on a track at speed, and you know, stuff happens... so why compound that by having your air bags go off?

Sounds like the prefect solution to me.

Any thoughts?? Any takers??

P.S. Last time, I did use the ARB airbag-safe bumper, and did run into issues with it twisting when winching in Moab. Prefer not to do that again.

If you have an ARB, do your self a favor and build up the mounts so it will take an impact and leave the bags alone.
