Default Also, power antenna

My antenna broke off in my 95 Disco. It appears to be a power antenna with a bulky electric motor at the base. (It has never functioned as a power antenna since I've owned the vehicle, though.)

How the heck do you get the thing out / replace it? There is a small hole under the hood, but this doesn't appear to be anywhere near large enough to pull the antenna assembly through. Do I have to take off the front fender? If so, what is the best way to do this (I haven't remoed it before.) It appears that the edge of the panel is sealed beneath the hood. What is the best way to cut/remove this if it is necessary to free up the panel ... assuming that any of this is required to replace the antenna...

Thanks again!

safely jack up truck, remove passenger wheel. remove inner wheelwell(black plastic trim),you can then pull antennae out. the wire itself can then be accessed through the inside. pull glovebox out(push outside plungers in, this will open the glovebox and allow access to back of radio) then plug in new wire and reassemble in reverse. good luck.
