Alternative ideas to engage cdl?

Why not use the electric actuator and cable system OX uses for there diff lockers. Very similar throw, electric ( so no air to worry about) waterproof, just add a switch to the interior and Boom!

Well sorry about that man ;-) I registered for the site yesterday and that was my first post! I'll try to keep the reasonable ideas to a minimum

I have ox lockers front and rear in my jeep Cherokee, The electronic actuators works phenomenally, i've had them installed for two years and I can't tell you how many times it's been fully submerged and caked with mud and abused. Also because the switch is backlit and the way that ox wires the switch for you it only aluminates once it's fully engaged showing that the action is taking place. I'm thinking you would need those 17 extra pieces to do that with air :-)

I have no idea what the actual measured output of the actuator is but I have no doubt that it could move it check out the video on ox's website of what it actually does, it pushes a shift fork inside my front and rear differential sliding over a collar that engages teeth to disallow differentiation. The collar in the differential is loaded with numerous heavy Springs, i'm guessing the load is pretty equal
