16 mpg city : 20 mpg highway.

I'm hoping to improve this by Seafoaming (yes, it's a verb) my engine this weekend. I'll probably do it at night to avoid suspicion.

Cheers,

Pete

I have a stock 2003 Disco SE..... proper tire inflation and a very gentle foot...... I am getting 9-10 MPG city street (NYC) driving! I'm so disappointed! My friend's Hummer H2 gets better MPG and he has a lead foot!

That's with new synthetic oil, oil filter and air filter. TP is set at 30psi front and 38 psi rear. No load in the rear.

My friend hasa 04 Disco SE.... went from NYC to MASS on half a tank.

I have a 2002 Z06 that gets better MPG... 25-28 MPG highway and 12 MPG HARD STREET driving.

Overall I love my 03 Dicso. So classy yet rugged.

automatic 97 with 106k.

235/70-16 @ 34psi

13-14 city/18-20 highway on 93 octane
You need to run your air pressure higher, 34 pounds won't cut it, especially on the rear tires, should be up more towards 40 pounds.

I run 40 psi for all four tires. My max psi on the E rated tires I have is 80 psi. I don't like my sidewalls bulging off road and catching a tree root or sharp rock.

Cheers,

Pete
