Avoiding the dreaded Drive Shaft Issue
What is the actual problem with the driveshaft issue that the D2's are infamous for at high miles? I only have 70k on mine... But I was doind the 60K service and I am unsure about the grease the axel and driveshaft step. Then I see this issue where they can "explode"

The U joint on your front shaft is not servicable(you cant grease it). Over time it seizes, casing the shaft to break. Freely rotating joint cracks your transmission case further compounding the damage

The problem with the design is the front drive shaft resides right next to one of the catalytic convertors, the heat cooks the grease. I grease my u-joints every 3-4k, I usually get three pumps of grease in before they pop. Don't go over 25k without having the centering ball serviced.
