Exclamation Axles

Will a 2000 model disco axles fit a 1997? I found several for cheap and thought about picking them up to have just in case. Any ideas?

They will not work. The D2 axles are wider than a D1.

you can make anything work with enough money or fab skills but why would you want to? D1 axles are full floaters.

I have seen a Chevette on a S-10 4x4 chassis with Super Swampers...where I grew up it was common for this to happen.
Why?
Why not?
