Default battery dead

Cold night last night(for Florida) and truck would not start. Jumped it and started right away. but check engine light now on and an "m" and an "s" with gear shapes around them are flashing. Also temp is celsius, and don't know how to change. Any help would be great.

This is also in your owners manual, every time your battery goes dead or you unhook it the HVAC will revert to "C"
If you dont have the owners maunal (under the drivers seat) then print this page and stick it in the glove box for future referance.

Your alternator is bad, it is not charging the battery.
The "M" and "S" light being on the dash means that your transmission computer isint getting enough power and it is setting off the lights. That is why your battery went dead, not enough power coming from the alternator.
Had it not been cold last night you may have been able to drive for another day or so.

Not having tested it yet, take your truck down to a local auto parts store and have them do a free battery/alternator load test so you will know what is bad.
Once this is found, and fixed, have them clear the codes which were most likely caused by a low voltage issue.
Let us know how it turns out.
