Here is the source for the BMW brass bleeder screw on eBay. I will call our local BMW dealer tomorrow to see if the price is the same or more. I might buy a few if anyone wants one. I didnt even know these existed till I heard about them on the forum.

I have a spare T coolant fitting in the basement, I drive past our local BMW dealer on my way home from work. I will bring it in to compare. It looks the same from the picture. And Rover was owned by BMW during its years of manufacture, So I'm betting it will fit.
I also swapped out the black leather shifter **** for a Walnut Burl shifter from any BMW made in the 1990's. Put the shifter in neutral and pull up hard and wear a helmet!

I searched around because I thought someone had posted a link to what was supposedly confirmed to be the right BMW part. I didn't have any luck finding that link, but I did find several references to the BMW part being #788.

Since it doesn't look like the eBay listing above shows the actual part number, it looks like that number is:

Part Number: 200082
Manufacturer Number: 17 11 1 712 788

per the listing at https://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exec/product_id/6857

I've gone ahead with ordering a couple of these and UPS claims they'll be here by Tuesday afternoon. I'll try to post back confirming whether or not they're the correct fit as soon as I get them and have a chance to give one a try...

In a pinch you can use a quarter to unscrew the brass ones.

Sorry guys, you're right. I didn't get the brass screw from BMW. They only have plastic ones. Got the brass one from a buddy of mine. But the BMW plastic ones are great. And only $7.

I saw on GLOWSHIFT's website that hey have a aluminum fitting that goes in between the top radiator hose similarly. It has a threaded hole in it, that you place a water temp gauge sensor in. Just match up your plug to the threads on the fitting and you are good to go, and it isnt plastic. Or just go ahead and put in a water temp gauge while you are at it, and remove the sensor as the bleed point. I am pretty sure you need the 32mm. Oh yeah,, and its only $15 right now. http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/32mm-...ttachment.aspx

I just finished changing to Green Coolant ( Peak ) and sure as anything this little bleed screw just crumbled apart! I only used fingers to tighten too!( that wa after I noticed it seemed to be leaking ... it looked like it have been DEXCOOLINATED! lol anyway, I ran to hardware store ith the threaded part and tested for fit... we have a local hardware store that caters to bikers of all types and has about every kind of screw! anyway I picked up a stainless screw to get me home... it is a metric ( M10 x 1.0 TP 10mm L ) I threw in a little O Ring and BAM! then I went online and ordered one of these BMW brass screws! hope it fits as good as one I picked up! anyway, I actually had to get a 20mm because it is all they had and I added a nut as a spacer...
