Hi All!

Happy to report that second maintenance attempt was a success.

Blower have been working just fine since Sunday, and no noise.

I do think it might not be running up to speed, but that might be a perception issue, actually don't recall how strong it blew when I bought it, or haven't been able to compare it to a similar truck, meanwhile I'm happy, besides #WinterIsComing.

Those instructions are on point, although no good explanation is given on how to get the Squirrel Cage out -I used a screwdriver and a hammer; and firmly, but gently, delivered a tap on the shaft until it slid out, you could see the dirt that came out during the hammering process.

Sprayed a new can of Electronic Cleaner in there, but couldn't find the 3-IN-ONE for motor applications, so ended up buying the regular one.

Thanks all and good luck to those attempting the Blower Revival! ;-]#

I use Lucas semi-synthetic assembly lube which is a thicker motor oil that I use for electronic motors. I use this constantly on client's Technics 1200/1210 turntable motors that I modify in my spare time.

Hello Roverers!

In the past couple weeks I've been noticing the blower revving up or down, and at max speed -supposedly- it sounds and feel like it is not blowing strong enough.

If you read this post, you'll know I took it apart and did an already known maintenance to it, since then not squeaky noises and turns on and off on point; I just don't feel is blowing hard enough, and also the revving issue, so any ideas where to look? besides the "time for a new blower" recommendation? thanks!
