Default Brakes, Help

New to me disco2 2003, purchased and told it needed new brakes as well as other things. Since brakes are an important part of driving I changed those first, rotors good bearings good calipers were free of binding. Bled brakes traditional way LF,RF,LR,RR. Pedal still not good tried again same result. Tried hill holder method along with bleed no good. Changed master cylinder repeated all efforts and still no good. I have not changed the brake lines as I didn't see any swelling or leaks. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

That's how American cars do it the RAVE says different. Don't really know. I always thought you worked from the wheel farthest from the master cylinder.

Default brakes

Ok looked at RAVE again, bled the brakes per right hand drive not left hand drive, I guess I'll try again tomorrow. Put brakes on 2 other vehicles this week and didn't have this much trouble even with changing calipers.

Bleed at the lines coming into the modulator. Then bleed at the lines coming out of the modulator. Then bleed at the wheels according to the sequence in RAVE. That is what got a good firm pedal on my 2003 after I had the modulator out to fix the shuttle valve switches.
