Default broke linkage turns into m/s flashing

OK so I go to pick up the disco this evening my linkage was finally fixed thank god. However when I got in it and started it up my mode and sport lights are flashing. Throughout the duration of my linkage being fixed my mechanic calls and says he has to build a new bushing for my auto trans shifter which I found out was the little sprocket that holds your linkage in the trans shifter only because I found it shredded in a box in the back of the truck, also in order to get the housing off the t case he had to heat up the bolts, so here's my question could the bushing he made cause the m/s lights to flash or possibly he hit some wires with the torch? Would that cause my xyz switch to through up those lights? Instead of taking it Ijust left it I don't want to be blamed for pulling off his lot and causing this myself, he's a great guy so I don't think that would happen however I also hear these lights flashing can cause you to be stranded and I don't want to be stranded....wait I've been with screaming kids all day so I may want to be stranded lol jk...or am I? Also I forgot to mention that when I started the truck up a second time the lights went away again though I didn't want to assume it was fine. Here's some vids to get a better idea
Thanks everyone
