Default Broken Ignition Key

Well it happened..............My son broke the ignition key by accident. I have put my spare key and computer fob in a safe place and of course I cant find it. I went to my local dealer and bought a new on @ $150. Now they tell me that it's going to cost another 110. to program. My 2002 Disco Kalahari is still under warranty. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks, Steve lep8ntr@yahoo.com

Default RE: Broken Ignition Key

Serious bummer.... I used my Vin number to get new keys made up for my '97 Disco when the keys where lost. I think it cost about $35 at the key shop. $110 sounds a little steep to reprogram a remote, but where else can you go? Maybe the service manual has instructions on how to program it so you can save some $$
