Ive got a Discovery 2 HSE, 94k on it. She’s always had a pretty good squeak, changed out tensioner and a idler... still squeaked. Finally the not so great ac went out and some grease/sealant started leaking. It feels more like dried polymer of some kind. Also I think an O-ring dried up. Rave chapter 82 is mostly theory.

Any part numbers on that o ring?

when rebuilding a a/c should I reapply grease? I added a pea sized amount (of drive shaft grease) to the outside of the bearing which was in very good condition.

And what’s that sealant? Should I clean and reapply something to it?
