Exclamation A.C.E Amber Light

Can anyone help? I have a 2001 Disco II TD5 that's had relatively few problems? The day after a 10hr drive in the snow last week, the ACE amber light came on for the first time. I have read on various sites that the pressure transducer or accelerometers are often the cause!!!! can i have some current advice? im not overly flush for cash at the mo and am trying to avoid a trip to the stealer! My wife drove it today and said with the light on, it drove fine but with the light off it really wobbled quite bad side to side and made clunking noises!

Please help

Daz

Nope, just the Amber ACE light. All fluid levels fine and no evidence of leaks.

Crazy question but have you changed the fluid in the ace system...? I purchased an 01 last spring with ace and the fluid was pretty burnt, talked to discomike over the phone about the fairly loud wine I get from the pump itself and he commented that every one of them does that and gave me some info about changing the fluid and after I did, the pump seemed to quiet done quite a bit... I have never seen any of the ace idiot lights illuminate though.

When was the last time you serviced it???
I can walk you thru how to flush it, that will probably settle it down.
