thye say everytime they use the fix-it kit that the car comes back within 2-3 months...

does anyone have any detailed info on the shuttle valve kit and what it does compared to replacing the shuttle valve itself?

The kit is a new shuttle valve.

I'm confused... Land Rover sells a $100 shuttle valve and an $800 shuttle valve? What is the difference between the two?

Mike, any idea on this? I definitely can't be spending $1200 on having this fixed right now...

From what I have heard, never went and purchased one, but the replacement shuttle valve kit is somewhere in the $100 range, I have never heard of an $800 assembly.

OK, I just called a few Land Rover dealers... This is what I found out:

SW0500030.
Shuttle valve repair kit. $75.

Atlantic British sells these for $75: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/SWO500030G.cfm

Land Rover dealrs are claiming that this is not working and strongly recommend replacing the shuttle valve with:

SW0500040.
New shuttle valve. $800.
