Can these plugs used for measuring transmission temperature?

I linked the Arduino stuff just to share the technical background on how to connect a sensor to Torque Pro.

The actual product is much different. It is just a small box which goes into the engine compartment and requires installation and wiring of sensors, but no wiring through the firewall. And of course no C programming (forget about the details in the link), just setting up Torque pro like it's done for an ODB-Adapter.

Does anyone know the thread of the radiator/cooler temp switch? Also does anyone have a diagram of the fluid flow?

I will check the threads, I have a couple old radiators that have not gone to the trash yet. The rave should have a coolant flow diagram, or are you talking about the trans flow?

If you look for the temp sensor on the coolant radiator, it is M12x1.5.

Trans flow, but I don't think it's very important. I think I'm going to put in 2 temp senders, one in the cooler (I'm guessing that's the hot side) and one on the trans at the suction port which is next to the cooler return.

More info here: https://manuals.hgmelectronics.com/c...re_Sensor.html
So it looks like you can even measure the transmission fluid pressure. I wonder why would one measure it. At least I will try to use the suction port for temperature measurement. I got a VDO temp sensor (NTC, M14x1.5) and the workshop manual says it is an M14 bolt, I hope that fits.
The Pump suction and Line pressure plugs are 3/4(19mm) head and the threads measure 19.7mm indicating by this chart it's a M20 thread. I didn't think to measure the inner diameter to see what the thread pitch is but it is looks to be fine pitch.

I want to do more research on the T/C and 'A' clutch lines before using one of those ports which look to be closer to m14, they are 6mm allen keyed.

I may have misunderstood which thread you were referring to but the Transmission cooler Temp Switch thread is M10x1.

Thanks, good to know. Probably M20x1.5, since it is most common. Have you figured out the flow? Do you know at what port the fluid is present before it goes to the radiator? I assume it is the pressure port.

For the T/C I installed an M14x1.5 sensor (red dot) already. There was a bolt in it, no sensor:

I think this is confirmed, at least for the 4hp22, based on this parts list.
