Can't get a warranty for my Disco II
#21
There you go..
Take it back if you do not want to put money into it every year. You are very lucky having the ability to take back, I am sure there are a lot of Disco newbie buyers wishing they had that option.
Only other option I might do is offer this guy a 1,000. dollars and do not go above 1,500.00. There are so many Disco out there that people have stuck fortunes in due to they needed someone to do the repairs, I just picked up another Disco 2 with 115,000 miles on that this guy had over 8,000 in repairs in for 2,500.00.

smart move..
It's a smart move andy...I made the same mistake you did and before i could turn it back to the dealer, I blew the engine. Before that blew, I replace the torque converter, all motor mounts and did some exhaust work in the first 2 weeks i owned it. You will do better in the long run. There are allot of these trucks out there. Keep looking at post when you find something and well help you out with it. We hate seeing people making the mistakes most of us have already made. If you want one bad enough, you'll get one...Then you can take a seat on the short bus with us...

I say either A: take it back and tell the dealer to fix it and they pay for it..
B: Wait for one with less problems (you will be waiting a long time)
C: Go get an audi and drive the hell out of it!
