If you were more mechcanicly inclined and familiar with your truck, you would probably not use some general purpose gear oil. Rovers have 3rd members that are prone to failing based on wear of the spider gears and what you are using/suggesting, is not wise, especially in the heat of Arizona.

Borrow your wifes car and take the drain plug from one of your diffs down to The Home Depot, go to the plumbing section and buy 2 of those plugs and some teflon thread tape.
Less than $10 for everything.
Put the drain plug back into its hole and then tape up the treads on the fill/check plug and screw it in.
Send me $20 for the tip.

Because the new fill plugs are not a exact fit and the drain plugs are.
Without the tape they may weep gear lube and they may not.
They are a very very very very close fit, others have don this with no problems, others yet needed the tape.
You can spend the $40 for 2 plugs or the $5 for 2 plugs and $3 for thread tape, the choice is yours.
DI's came with real fill/check plugs not the cheap plastic crap that DII's came with so we dont have this problem.
The drain/fill plugs from a DI will also fit a DII.

Yes, 7 quarts will cover all 3.

As for Lucky8 or Todd Co, do a google search and they will pop up as 4 wheel parts suppliers.
