Changing fuel filter...
I decided to tackle this today but I having a hell of a time. What is the secret??? I was able to get the nut loose on both end but how do you unscrew the thing??? Everytime I turned the nut it turned the hose on the fuel line which I could only turn so much before I break something. Is there a way I could get the hose clamp off of the nut???
Thanks in advance...

I gather this is a DI and the nuts on the filter connections are giving you troubles ? Very common headache......and it's in sort of a tough spot to deal with. As a suggestion....a little re-engineering may help you out. A NAPA filter #3482 ( or equivalent) has a 3/8" nipple on each end......I moved my filter farther toward the frt of the truck along the frame rail (where it's easier to get at) cut the old assy out and install new , where you want it, using new rubber fuel line, connectors and clamps.
Unbolt the filter from the frame.
Unscrew one end of the filter and move the fuel line out of the way.
Undo the other end.
Filter will fall into your hand.
Use anti seize on the treads when you put it back together.
