Default Coolant Mix

I know not to use Dex or mix it with other coolant and I don't have Dex. But can Green and Yellow coolant be mixed ?? I found a jug of the yellow Prestone stuff in my garage . But the 04 has Green coolant in it. The coolant isn't leaking at all in it now but I always carry a gallon of coolant with me just in case of an emergency.
If I did mix it should it be flushed and reolaces asap?
Or should I just get a jug of the green.. Its only $12-14 .
Just Curious

Most of the current Prestone says it can be mixed with anything. What does it say on the jug?

I prefer to stick with just one kind, but if you're carrying it for an emergency and it says its compatible, I'd use it.

Worst case you can drain and fill after your emergency.

I kind of felt the same way. Before I always ran Prestone I threw the green bottle away when I put it in there. ( I had wife pick it up one day ) I will look on the bottle this afternoon. it;'s in the back of the 04 where the green stuff is.
I hope I don't need it but always like to be prepared.
The other day the small hose slipped off the nipple on the 99 and I stopped before it overheated thanks to my ELM monitor. I was able to re-clamp the hose and refill the cooling system and make it home without Calling the Lovely Mrs. Slabrat to come get me. It all yellow stuff though. Thats what got me thinking about the 04.
I will hit the Thanks button

Sorry about the choppy run on sentence. 20 things going all the sudden
