Default Cooling Fan

Has anyone bought Fan Assembly Includes Viscous Coupling? I found at

Car parts.com - for 49.00
http://www.carparts.com/details/Repl...EPL313710.html

Atlantic for 219.00
Fan Assembly Includes Viscous Coupling (Part # ERR4959) - Land Rover cooling/heating from Atlantic British

My fan is bent and wobbling. not sure If I need to change the Clutch too. I would rather change since it has never been changed. I am also changing the Thermostat. will appreciate any advice from the pros.

Wow, I didnt know you could buy an aftermarket replacement combo...especially not for $50.

That price seems almost too good to be true. Its also so low that you could just go for it and report back here with some details.

For another comparison you can get a used fan from Paul Grant and then go to autozone or orielly for the clutch. That route would probably end up being about $100.

Thanks. you can get a lot cheaper at
https://britishparts.co.uk

Same stuff at BA accept they are 1/10th the price. There are not too many manufacturer because of the small volume, I would think they are all from same source aftermarket with different labels.

Great time to upgrade to an electric fan! I got +1 mpg, a few hp and the thing is temp controlled, so it comes on as needed. Just make sure you get one that pushes over 3K CFM. Mine fits under the stock shroud, so hardly any mods necessary.

Anyone have a recommended fan? I've got the one up front, but I'd like to have two side by side for when traffic gets... consistent.

Suggested wiring locations for things like lights and fans?

Following* - was told by a LR tech that we needed to replace our viscous fan. We rented a fan pull tool from Advanced Auto parts in hopes to remove one from a scrap yard to get us buy until Feb when we plan on total replacement of the radiator, water pump, and hoses. In short, the wrench was 36mm and we needed more like a 32mm. The Atlantic British video made it look so simple with a wrench and hammer. What size wrench do we need ??!! Previous owner had *no clue* what he was doing and was dumping just any ole thing in the reservoir . You know the "As Seen On TV" commercials, specifically the one where the guy sprays this black goo on a screen door and then floats to the middle of the pond without sinking to prove its water proof. Yeah..... previous owner sprayed that crap on the bottom of the reservoir to try and stop a leak.

adjustable wrench and a hammer work good on my 97. Hit it sharply toward your left when standing at the bumper and facing the windscreen. Some have to shove a rag in the serpantine belt, or pull up on the tensioner pulley (increase tension).
