Default Couple Of Problems Help!!

Ok I have a 98 Disco with around 148xxx on it, this is my first one and I love it but it needs work..

First problem is the check engine light I pulled the codes and this is what I got
P0305 -=- cyl 5 miss
P0306 -=- cyl 6 miss
P0300 -=- Random miss
P1316 -=- excessive emissions

Now at idle you feel the miss, when you are driving the truck it goes away I was just wondering what are the common problems that will cause these codes?

Second Problem is My 4 wheel drive light is on and the color is yellow. How do i get it to turn off I read the manual and it says to back up a short distance and it will turn off but that does not work, I was wondering how to get it to go off and if it doesn't what can be the problem. I also hear a clunking noise when I hit the gas and sometimes when the truck is downshifting but not all the time...

I am Mechanically inclined, its just i never worked on these before and any help will be very appreciated...

First, stop driving your truck until you can get the CDL to disengage or you will trash a diff. or t/case.
At your mileage and depending on when you last tuned the engine along with new 8 mm plug wires, I would say a good tune is in order. What octane gas are you burning?

The 4wheel light means the your t-case is in the LOCKED position. Make sure it is unlocked. Position the t-case shifter lever to be in high range and to the right.

to unlock the CDL .
try first in neutral locking the CDL then drive forward a few yards.
STOP,
then in neutral, unlock the CDL.
and then backup while turning the front wheels either way, this usually will disengage the CDL

agree with mike, don't drive till you disengage the CDL... and get yourself some 8mm magnecore wires and some good platinum plugs like Bosch +4 platinums or Iridiums,.. and you most likely could use an induction cleaning and a throttle body cleaning and a can of seafoam in the tank.. in fact you should most likely just do all of Mikes 60k service sticky in the "How To" section.
