Default Cracked Windshield options?

Hello --

My windshield (windscreen ) is cracked and I need to replace it. I have the heated version, and would really like to retain this function if possible. I've seen some comments on this forum about not wanting windshields made in China? Does anyone have advice about what companies to use/not use for the windshield replacements? Any other tips/things to look out for?

Thanks,
RedAustinIX (Ed)

I recently had mine replaced through my insurance and only had to pay my deductible. My policy allows for OEM if requested, and I found a local company who could provide a heated Plinkington Optikool OEM the next day. Not sure if your policy will let you choose but it’s worth a phone call to ask. If you're not going through insurance, I believe mine is the OEM windscreen. It might not be made in the UK, but it's very high quality. I think mine is USA.
