Default Cranks 2-3 times then starts

Help,
04 disco 4.6liter at the moment 190,000 miles on it when I bought this truck i replace a bad fuel pump. Worked for 9 months then I started to have starting problem. WIll cold start first time. After driving around run errands after parked for 15-30 min, Every attempt the starter cranks , but no ignition till the third attempt. Tried replace the pump again but the new pump failed and was defective. Back to square 1. I’m back with my original replacement fuel pump less than ayear old. Same issue will start right up cold but after up to running temp, . warm starts are hard to start. I’ve ran some injector cleaner through, replace MAF . My guess is CPS or fuel injectors o-ring s , fuel pressure regulator, coolant temp sensor. Maybe what are your thoughts. Starter and CPS have replaced by previous owner last year. Any thoughts?

Start with CPS they are cheap, get a Bosch, and not hard to put in - annoying but not hard. Not starting warm is a pretty common symptom of a failing CPS

Installing that Crank Position Sensor all depends on how the darn plug wants to act. It can be as quick as 15min or as long as an hour. It also helps if your D2 is lifted as when you're laying on your back you have more room for your arms while laying under there.

Replace the fuel pump basket. I had this problem for the longest time. It went away as soon as i replaced the pump with a used unit off of ebay. There has to be some kinda one way valve somewhere in the basket.

Could this possibly be a bad fuel pump or starter fuse or relay?

I was thinking more of bad battery connections to starter.

Sounds like a fuel pump that can't provide enough pressure to start the truck on the first attempt. Then after several turns of the key the fuel rail has enough fuel to start.
