Default Crankshaft Position Switch issue

I have a 2000 Discovery 2 se. I noticed it would start when it was cold. Just noticed that after it was warm it would just crank and not start. Other forums suggeted to replace the sensor. I got the heat shield off with a 7mm socket no problem. I am have a hard time getting the sensor out. What size socket is it? Any other suggestions? Thanks

Look though the stickies on the DII page, there is a write up on how to replace it.

Let new one be plugged in and hang before you bolt it back in. Every spacer goes back same way it came off or it won't work. See attached.

I replaced the sensor and it fixed the problem 100%. Thanks for the help. I purchased the part from autozone for $60 and LR Dealer had it for $136 The same Bosch part. Thats quite a mark up.

And just think shikomizue, AutoZone has a mark up on it too.
That part probabaly cost AutoZone $30.

I have the same problem with cps. I have the shield off and the 2-8mm nuts off, but the sensor body won't come out, at least not easily. Should it not just pull out? Any help? I don't want to damage any parts.
