Default Cruise control working itermittently

One time it works and then the next it doesn't. The light comes on either way on the switch on the dashboard, it just doesn't alway set the speed. Then later on it works fine. Go figure, a LR with an attitude problem?

Any ideas?

Check the switchies on the steering wheel.

I would asusme this could carry over to the Disco, but on my old Explorer, they had packed the switch with so much grease that it wouldn't allow it to work at time. I popped off the peice and cleaned the connectors out with an alcohol soaked q-tip.

Just a thought.

might also check the switch on the brake pedal. It has a plunger on it and it gets pressed in sometimes. Make sure it it fully extended...
