Default D2 new oil pump leaking

Engine swap leaking oil pump/oil pan
So I swapped the bad engine. It is an 03' DII with the killer oil pump thing. I owned the donor vehicle and the engine ran great. I put the engine in the disco and runs great. The problem is I have an oil leak. A bad one. I replaced the oil pump while I had it out (brittpart, which may be part of my problem) and installed the thing and now i have a leak that looks to be coming from the crank seal and or the front of the oil pan or both. Anyone familiar with all of this, ever have this happen? If so, is there a fix or pull it all back off and try another pump or oil pan/oil pan gasket? I suppose Im asking, is there a note somewhere that I could have missed with installing the new oil pump? Either way it looks like Im probably going to have to pull the pump back off.
Thanks

R

Could be the plugs for the cooler lines. 03 and 04 have plugs that are put in hand tight on some new front covers.

As it turns out, the brand new pump and cover leak. No visible reason. Oh well. I inspected the old one and found it to be in pretty good shape, reinstalled it and viola. No leak. I assumed that while I had the engine out of the truck I would replace wearable things like the oil pump, crank position sensor, coil packs and O2 sensors (I had to replace part of the exhaust as well) just because they kind of suck to do while the engine is in the rig. I was about to lose my religion in this ordeal. Now to troubleshoot the reason that my air suspension doesn't suspend. At least my check engine light doesn't come on. Cheers, and thanks for the replies to my query and conundrum.

Thanks for letting us know the rectification. Do you know why the new cover was leaking?
