We have a 2001 D2 SE7 and we had an accident where we slid into another car. The damage included a broken headlight, broken fog lamp, broken turn signal, and broken side running lamp. At the scene of the accident, the car would not start. The dash light would come on but the engine would not crank. The battery seemed fine and my son did get the car started by just continually tuning the key. All of a sudden it cranked and we drove it home. But when we shut it off, it now is not cranking anymore. Any idea on where to start?

 

I'd check the inertia switch. Its on the firewall in the engine bay next to the SAI pump (if you have secondary air). Press down on the top and then try.
