Dead battery question
So I have a dead battery. I got a new battery last week. Autozone tested it and said it was totally spent and wouldn't hold a charge. It was a 5 year old battery.
The new battery I got worked great but five days on, it is now dead. While the car started normally on the way into work, it was dead silent when I tried to go out for lunch today at work.
The one thing i did last night that might be affecting things is that I put my stock radio back in after getting the Rover Radio ipod jack installed. Would this affect things?
Last weekend, I also reattached the electrical stuff after I took the headliner off (including dome lights, sunroof motor, etc).

Well if something is shorting it could drain the battery. Seeing as how the radio was the only thing touched I would double check the work....
Also where did you get that iPod jack installed and was it on the stock radio? I want one

You might want to go back to the parts store and have them do a free charging system test. Your system, with the engine running should be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.
Let us know what they find.
