The light bulbs will not set off the CEL.
You MUST use premium gas, if you dont you are asking for big time $$$ trouble.
Do a search for "premium gas" or the like and you will find lots of threads on this issue.

Start burning 91 plus octane like you should, so you don't carbon up your engine.
If you still have problems, send me your tele number and I'll walk you thru what to check.

read the thread, open my hood and cannot see a driver's side fuel rail.
Reached in between upper intake and firewall and cannot feel a schraeder valve.
My son ran out of gas. I added 2 gallons. It will only start now with a small spray of starting fluid and will run perfectly afterwards. Shut it off and same scenario. I have seen the pics of the fuel rail off the engine and the position of the schraeder valve to purge the air but, i am lost as how to get to it. I can barely get my hand between the upper air intake the and firewall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2002 Discovery II SE.

OK here is your test and homework that you need to do to help us help you..

In the morning -
Turn the key to run - but do not start it.
Turn off.
Then turn to run again. Do not start it.
Then off
Then turn to run again - do not start it.
The off
Then try to start it.

If it starts right up - then you probably do have a fuel pump as
you have primed it by running the fuel pump a few times by not starting it.
The finally starting it.

So, go from OFF to on - but don't start..
About 5 times.

Then to off.

The start as normal.
See if then it fires right up

Delay about 2 seconds then go to OFF.

The valve is back toward firewall under the top half on the intake on driver side. Not exactly easy to get at. The priming info above should work for you. The pump, fuel pressure regulator, and fuel filter are all one package in the tank.
