Default 96 Disco having brake trouble

Hi, I am a new owner of a 1996 LR Discovery SE. She is a mean old b**ch that likes to test my patience. Anyway I knew when I purchased it that it had brake issues. The problem has been a VERY soft brake pedal, like there is air still in the lines. Here is what has been replaced so far:

New brake master cylinder (3 times)
Replaced (used) ABS pressure valve-old one was leaking
Replaced seals in front calipers-also leaking
Bled front calipers yesterday and still a soft pedal
Bled all four calipers today and still a soft pedal

Given all that does anyone have any suggestions or do I just have air in the system still and need to keep bleeding the brake lines?

Any help is much appreciated!!
Geoff

Had the same problem in my 96 discovery. I had to bleed the breaks twice but it cleared it up. Have you ever had any problems with yours killing the engine when it comes to a complete stop? Mine has just started doing that this week and I wasn't sure if it was oil pressure or it just needed a new battery? Any ideas?

put new calipers on, anytime you change the seals on those old calipers they will leak again.

but open the rears, and pump a few times put a tube on the bleeder and walk away for ten minutes to let the air out.

@whoisbigtuna, thanks for responding and no I have not had a problem with the engine stalling when I come to a stop. You might check your fuel filter or possibly a broken vacuum line. Does it do this when only cold or hot? I'm not an expert in Land Rovers but I can keep guessing until I find the problem.

@Rovin4life, I almost bought new calipers instead of the seal kit but the auto parts store said they were reconditioned anyway. It was not really difficult to do. I guess time will tell if I did it correctly. I tried your recommendation as well. I have a "one man brake bleeder" and hooked it up, loosened up the bleeder valve and let it sit for a little while. I still have a somewhat soft pedal but it is stopping better. I neglected to mention that I installed new brake pads up front since I had it all apart. I'm trying out the EBC with red stuff. I'll leave a post and let you know how they work out. Thanks again!!
