DII Lug Nut Options - Are there any?
Giving consideration to replacing my lug nuts as they are beginning to show their age, but DAMN! $279.00 for Genuine Parts... or $199.00 for a knock off OEM style part...
Are there any other options out there that are more reasonable?

what method did you use for removing the caps?
If I ever replace the entire set I think I will go with those. There isn't anything to complex about machining good ones without those silly caps.
Meanwhile I do my own tire rotations and on a few occasions when I have had a tire's sidewall torn up while off roading I take the tire and wheel to the shop where I have my tire warranty and let them remount a new tire on the rim and balance it and then I install it myself as I just have no confidence in the tire shop guys to use the correct socket.

These?
Set of 20 Chrome Land Rover Range Rover Lug Nuts Bolts Fit Discovery II HSE SE | eBay
I bought a set of lug nuts for my D1 from these guys, years ago. I think they are in the business of taking stock wheels and chroming them, so it would make sense that they sell chrome nuts too.
