You could try cleaning your throttle body with a little bit of carb cleaner. I need to do it to both of mine. It won't take care of your exhaust fume smell, but it may help some of the other issues.

Fadysdico - if a scanner is available, plug in and monitor coolant temp. If coolant sensor was unplugged, it would read like -40F. It should read ambient when started, then move up to a normal range. If computer getting wrong signal from coolant sensor, it may be making you run very rich, because it is trying to give more gas to warm up engine.

Normal tune up things, like plugs, new 8mm silicone wires, carb cleaner for IACV and PCV system, and made for MAF spray for MAF sensor, all done when engine cold; these can only help.
