I posted my reply only because you made it sound like automatic trannys and our ZF's can take on water. As I mentioned before with a good high vent tube and no major seals leaking you shouldn't have a problem with water in the tranny , diffs or t/case.

Blahahaha. Well I just had to tear apart my engine for round two of replacing the main bearings.. Sounds like round two of the head gaskets went well this time for you! I saw a disco tranny ZF4HP22 rebuild kit on ebay for $309, thought I might do that one next but wanted to ask how they generally hold up
