Just randomly? Is there any way to test it? Because aside the hiccup, it idols very comfortable

I had the same issues as you. Limp gear, throttle reving and jumping forward at stop signs, etc.

First thing I did was get a new alternator because my voltages were low. That didn't fix the m & s lights though.

So next I got a new IACV. That didn't help the limp gear/M&S light either, but I never had issues with the throttle again.

Finally I changed my CPS and the M&S lights disappeared, along with limp mode (for now )

I recently threw a code for P7050, which is the XYZ sensor, also known to cause the infamous limp gear and M/S lights to come on. So I guess I need to change that out before the boogeyman comes back to haunt me.

Anyways, good luck with your limp gear. I'd suggest checking your IACV. Also check the connecting hoses for cracks and such. I'm not 100% certain that was my fix to the random acceleration, but my theory is if the engine gets an unexpected boost of air from an IACV that's out of whack, it's gonna cause those RPMs to shoot up and launch you forward.

Do IAC valves go bad? In my experiences they just need to be removed, thoroughly cleaned out with carb cleaner spray and then reinstalled.
