Does this sound like a bad wheel bearing???

I put a used hub on mine too. Not the best choice but the hub I got looked practically new so we will see how long it holds up. You can get a 300 lb torques wrench from harbor freight for $70. I just torqued it to 300 then a hair more then staked it good.

was it a direct fit? im planning to install a wheel bearing module myself. after installation, i might just let the garage torque it up.

wheel bearing job takes 45 minutes to an hour per side.

BUT....a in my experience, a wheel bearing going south will emit a whistling, chirping sound . I never saw the 3 amigos come on either and my front right bearing was toast.

Why are you replacing a hub?

Deff replace your bearings anyways, I did mine a couple weeks back and ended up having to replace my front right spindle and hub assembly... The bearing race was welded to the spindle...

are your certain the noise isn't from a bearing in the transfercase or the diff? No noise or looseness might be something else. Get a professional opinion to be on the safe side.
