Default door lock sticks

I know this is not an "under the hood" question but any advice would still be appreciated... I am having some issues with my unlocking mechanism on the front passenger side door. If I turn the key to lock/unlock the doors from the outside... this door will not work simultaneously with the rest of the doors. I know that the hatch door sticks as well but have been able to figure that one out by removing the decal and "fixin" it. 99 Disco II

Lock lock actuator is failing, consider a new one.

rover land parts has new actuators for 100 bucks. I've replaced my passenger front and ordered a new rear hatch.

I think this is the best thread on replacing that actuator:

As for the back latch, Mine has been glitchy ever since a recent off road trip and it's due to 'Moon Dust', which is deep talcom powder like dirt. It's murder on on that rear latch. Spraying WD-40 in there won't help with that because it just muds up the dust.

To get it to open, I have to go offroad or hit some speed bumps at a nice clip. I'm hoping replacing it will fix the problem but I bet that dust is just going to get back in there and cause the new one to fail too.

You need to use a water soluable cleaner/de-greaser to remove the "moon dust".
After you clean it good use chain lube, it doesnt attract dirt.
And just a FYI,WaterDisplacement-40 isint a lube, it is a protectant against water, it was orginally developted for the Navy during WWII. It works great as a protective coating to prevent rust, like fogging a lawnmower engine when you put it up for the winter.
