ANY IDEAS? I have a 2001 Disco, when I turn off the ignition, sometimes the key sticks and does not want to come out. It seems if I back up and straighten out the steering wheel, the key will come out

 

Do you have more then one key, will it do it with all of them? If your key is wearing out, this could cause it, also metal particles from a warn key can screw up the tumblers and not allow the key to come out easily. Might try air pressure to blow out and particles from the tumblers.

 

next time try pushing your shifter lever up into park, sometimes slack in the cable allows it to be in park but the lever has to be up a hair farther for the key to come out.
