I got my new disco running last night with the addition/replacement of a ECU/BCU. ($100 used)

I have 2 minor problems that I wanted to fix.

1. Doors will not lock or unlock with the key. They work from the inside button and did work with the FOB prior to ecu/bcu replacement.

2. Wipers go back and forth but don't automatically shut off in the down position.

Other than that my $600 gamble on a 2004 Disco has worked out good. Motor runs strong. Other than the dark purple paint job done by the previous owner, I am happy with it.

Any help on the 2 problems would be appreciated.

 

I figured out the door lock problem. A pin is broke and I found a new one at Miami British

LAND ROVER FRONT LEFT LH DRIVER DOOR HANDLE PIN DISCOVERY II MR0010 | Miami British Corp.

 

I believe that pin is also called a "nail."
