Default Electrical mystery???????

95 Disco, when the brake is pressed and the right turn signal is on -then the turn signals stay on until the brake is released- so the orange lights stay on with the brake lights. its close to Halloween so it might be a ghost. It only happens with the right side - and yes I have checked the fuses, bulbs, contacts, wiring, switch under brake pedal- this one will need more consideration

Does the signal flash, or just have the light come on? I would pull the rear light out, unlpug the whole thing and remove it. If the front signals are still on, wiring harness, fuse box, or BECM....?

Check for a poor ground at your rear light clusters.

Seriously, check for a faulty ground connection at the rear light clusters: loose or brokenground wire, corrosion around the ground connection. Also check for corrosion inside the bulb sockets. What you are describing are classic symptoms of a bad ground...on any vehicle.

My 2nd guess would be a bad flasher relay unit. Not sure where that is located on a Disco, but usually they are located in or near the fuse box or under the dash near the steering column. Some of the veterans here would know where.

The power from your brake lights is backfeeding through the turn signals to a ground. Here is a link to help you pull the lights. Pull it and see if you still have the problem. You have to do a process of elimination to find where the problem is....

sure, if you can get to it. It was easier for me to pull the light and change all of the bulbs while I had it out......

I have a 7 seater, and even though I have long skinny fingers, I couldn't get in there well enough...
