Default Engine mounts

So i was at the hobby shop changing out a rack and pinion on my friends G35 and i remember i had brand new engine mount in the back of the rover. So after i was done i proceeded to change em out, i knew they were bad but i didn't know how bad they were until i jacked up the engine.

I wouldn't have seen those as suspect from the outside. That's interesting. How did you jack up the engine? With a regular jack and a block of wood on the oil pan? Seems it might be worth inspecting.

I just used a regular floor jack and jacked the engine up via the oil pan. One thing to note is that you need a torque socket to get the studs out of the bottom of the mount. It makes it alot easier to remove mount once the top nut is undone. Another thing that you will need is a realy short 18" ratcheting wrench, it made the driver side top bolt alot easier to get out.

Any noticeable difference it how the truck feels after changing the mounts? Smoother and quieter?

Did you have any trouble removing the torque bolts? Out of the two times I changed mounts they always have me trouble. I ended up sawing through the mount and removed the carnage in multiple pieces.

The rover does feel a bit smoother when accelerating and i no longer hear my exhaust rattling against the frame. As for the torque stud, mine came off easy on the passenger side but was a pain on the driver side. All i had was a wrench so since both my mount basically sheared i just jacked up the engine enough to pop it out.
