Default Engine nosie 2003 disco

I was doing a little off roading yesterday when i hit a large log. I believe that i may have bottomed out my tuck. I thought i had enough fun for the day and started to drive home when I began to notice a ticking noise coming from my engine. i looked under my car and can not see any Physical damage. I have had a couple people take a look at it and they believe i cracked my exhaust manifold. I am no to convinced seeing as i have always heard this noise since i have purchased this vehicle, it is just a lot louder now. When i am running at a steady speed the noise is had to hear as soon as i accelerate it becomes very noticeable. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

have someone cover your exhaust pipe with a rag, while you listen you should be able to hear the leak and it increase if the problem is your exhaust

If you do a SeaFoam induction cleaning the resulting smoke will pour out of every exhaust leak.

For a possible easy win, check where the exhaust manifold and the Y-Pipe connect as the nuts like to come loose. Mine like to come loose - but only on the passenger side, strangly enough. It requires only a 13mm wrench.

When you wreck into something then you expect damage and are sensitive to all things which may have been there before but you ignored them.

Does that make sense?

Like when I run over a cement barrier in my Saab at the BART transit.
and then I am in my car letting go of the wheel trying to see how the steering is.

And the road has ruts in it which make the steering seem bad anyway.

Inspect it visually. No damage, then relax.
Tick was there.
And is still there.
