I have been told that you'll lose "torque" with the magnaflow cut into the exhaust system, which in a vehicle where "torque" is everything, that's a problem. I've been told that the Dynamax muffler retains the torque, is quieter and comes with a lifetime warranty. I've not done this to my '97 Disco, but I'm about to... Good luck.

 

I put a stock replacement on a few years ago and it's dead already. I wanted to go stainless and was told stock was fine. Now I'm going stainless, after all I'm planning on driving her at least another three years or more. Any one have ideas on better stainless? I'm not a Borla fan.

 

I was talking about cats, not mufflers. I have heard that Walkers give you the best sound without the drone. Magnaflow mufflers are awefull drony around 65. My friend tried one on his 2000 and took it back off. He has a walker now and it sounds nice.
