Taken delivery of a 2002 Discovery Series 2 later today. Has 99,580 miles on it. Its coming from Miami and has been there it's whole life. It belonged to a Dr. and was maintained by the Land Rover dealer there (I have the records from the dealership). It had the 95,000 mile service done already. So my question is "What is the first bit of maintenance I should perform being so close to the 100k mark?" I mean the absolute first thing I should do? Any opinions will be much appreciated.

If it's been dealer maintained its whole life then you should be in pretty good shape. The only real thing I'd check would be all of the rubber bushings under the truck as well as ball joints and tie rod ends. Also, the dealer probably put 5w20 synthetic something in it. I'd switch it over to some Rotella or Rotella T5 to protect the cam and lifters. Mostly I'd just go through the sticky life OffroadFrance recommends

Seriously, I would change the front d-shaft u-joints first, then change all fluids.
