have a 1999 disco 2 with a replacement door lock. the key is inside...doh... and the battery is flat. can anyone help please. have tried trickle charge thru the starter motor positive, tried to open bonnet, its more secure than fort knox.. have the key fob but also have flat battery double doh.

 

Locksmith to pop the door, that is about your only option. You could do a search for broken hood cable it is possible to open the hood from the outside

 

Jumper cables from spare battery or jumper3box to starter motor and frame/ ground. Takes just minutes

 

When I had that same problem I applied power through the trailer light cord and then the fob worked
