Yeah, since you can only get one hand up in there, to release CPS sensor plug. Made this out of an old brake tool, originally made for removing drum brake springs. Removed rivet and use the hooked end to grasp upper CPS plug, slip it around wires and it holds the upper part of the plug while you reach up with one hand to remove lower portion of plug (attached to CPS sensor). Snapped a pair of visegrips on the end of tool and reached in through opening between frame and inner wheel well to grasp upper plug, worked like a charm.

Removing CPS sensor isn't that difficult if you use 1/4 drive ratchet, swivel and extension, you can come in from between exhaust manifold and head for the inner nut. Naturally, the rover is on jack-stands, for added mobility under vehicle.

Heck, if the exhaust studs are broken on CPS sensor side, remove manifold and you'll have easy access to sensor.

I cut the inner fenderwell with a grinder and bent the sheet metal out of the way for full access. Bent it back when done. Tape it, weld it, glass it if you want. I've had no issues with two cuts in the metal.
