I received an updated bracket from Lucky 8 this past week. It was closer to size but not close enough to match the factory holes in the spring perch. I didn't want to bother drilling larger holes given how thin the bracket was so just removed the bracket and used the eyelet mount. Not exactly what I would call "direct bolt...requires no modifications at all".

He did say they sent an actual correct mount to Fox as an example this time - not sure why this was such a new idea...

But honestly - I am leaning toward just returning them and getting Bilstein 7100s if Simon or anyone else has the ones tuned for the D2 - not worth all this BS to save $500 at this point.

so did you use the RTE adapter to use the eyelet mount?

I’ve ordered a few sets of fox for my D2 via Rovers North - and even despite Fox opening a new manufacturing plant towards the east coast I hadn’t had any issues with front mounting plates..

I would be calling fox directly to find out what the issue was.

so you are saying you have received and installed without modification front 2.0 shocks on a D2 without needing the RTE or some other adapter ?

Lucky 8 sells these knowing they don't fit. Thier response when I contacted them was to go thru Fox for warranty issue. Called fox and tried to find a bar pin that would work; I sent pics and dimensions, great customer service and tech support but we couldn't find a bar with correct spacing. I ended up getting RTE cross pin eliminators. Even with that they were a pain to install, I would hate to have to remove them outside of a shop environment (like on the trail)... If I were going to do it again, I would get Bilsteins for ease of installation.

which Bilsteins would you get? the 7100 or would you go for the more traditional 4600 kit ?

I am about to send my Fox 2.0 back to LK8 due to literally no follow up since they told me they were trying again to fix it...

I would probably go with the 4600. Cheaper and I don't plan on desert racing or hardcore rock crawling..
