Gas Grade - High, Medium or Low
If you have the high compression V-8 you need to run the highest octane
you can get. If not your knock sensor will work over time and retard the
timing (less power, less mpg's) if the knock sensor quits you will mess
up a motor for the 2 dollars you save on a full up.
Here in the flat lands I get 92 or 93 octane.
Would you run the wrong oil?

I've tried all three. I noticed a fairly big difference between regular and mid-grade, but almost no difference between mid-grade and premium. It's hardly a scientific process, but I've come to the conclusion that the extra $.10/gallon you pay for premium just isn't worth it.
Depends, in the winter (when cold) i can get away with 87 octane. In the hot months or wheeling, i need to run the 89-91 octane, or the beast will start to ping and detonnate.
by the way forbin10, lower octane will not plug or gum up yuor lines.
