GF chip yes or no

I would find it suprising if a chip made a difference in these motors, but I will say that ruling out the possibility due to the fact that LR doesn't install them from the factory is flawed logic, as there are many other cars out there that do benefit form chips (other than turbo cars obviously), such as my 1993 BMW 3 series had a DINAN chip that really did make a difference in the butt dyno.
Just from looking at the headers on these things, that's the first performance mod that I would do, those things look very restrictive.
Car manufactures have emissions to worry about, which is why some engines can be easily chipped, but you will not get more power AND better MPG's, that is an oxymoron. With the few exceptions on turbo cars that is.

This. You'd think my r6 that is a track bike would come with this "chip" if it did anything.
But guess what there are things out there that improve engine power or effeciency via maps
