Hayden 2781 and fan issue? Help

Default Hayden 2781 and fan issue? Help
I have a 2003 Disco but switched the fan and clutch to the 2 separate component setup (Hayden 2991 and fan). It was super noisy and seems to eat MPG but it fit fine. So I ordered the Hayden 2781 fan but it doesn’t fit in the fan correctly. The clutch is sitting on the outside of the fan on the plastic rim of the fan and not inside like the 2991 clutch was. Did I order the wrong clutch, receive the wrong part or is this normal? If this is normal that means there is a gap where the bolts go through the fan into the clutch… doesn’t seem right.
